Breakfast

Breakfast in the Smokies runs on pancakes, and Sevierville is no exception, griddle plates, syrup in a pitcher, bacon and eggs served fast enough that you’re back on the road before the traffic builds. The pancake house is a genuine regional institution around here, not a tourist novelty, and locals eat at these places as often as visitors do.

Go early. Anywhere serving breakfast in Sevier County fills up between eight and ten, especially on weekends and through October, and a twenty-minute head start is the difference between walking in and standing in the parking lot.
