Why go: MagiQuest packs four attractions into one 30,000-square-foot castle on the Parkway, anchored by an interactive live-action fantasy game where players use a real magic wand to complete quests, battle dragons, and unlock a world of hidden challenges across multiple themed realms.
About MagiQuest
MagiQuest is a one-of-a-kind experience built around a live-action, wand-powered adventure game that fills the entire second floor of a castle-shaped building at 2491 Parkway. Players pick up a wand, receive a brief orientation from a Magi Guide, then set off through themed areas including the Forest Realm, Village Realm, and Dragon Realm to complete quests, earn runes, and ultimately face off against the Goblin King and dragons.
The game progresses through 14 quests and 4 adventures. Runes collected during quests power up the wand for increasingly difficult adventures, and players who complete everything unlock the exclusive Ice Dragon Saga as a bonus challenge only available at this location. A wand retains all progress, so players can return on future visits or bring it to other MagiQuest locations to pick up where they left off.
Downstairs on the first floor, the castle holds three additional attractions. Special FX Pirate Golf is an 18-hole black-light miniature golf course set in a Caribbean pirate village, complete with animated villagers and a pirate ship that players putt through. The Odyssey Mirror Maze spans more than 5,000 square feet of mirrored corridors, dancing lights, and music. The Adventure Arcade rounds out the complex with a full lineup of redemption games and prize options.

- Adventure Arcade Bonus Credits
- 60-minute MagiQuest Game Experience
- 1 Magic Wand Loaned for the MagiQuest Game Experience
Getting to MagiQuest
MagiQuest sits at 2491 Parkway (US Highway 441) in Pigeon Forge, just past traffic light 2A. The castle building is easy to spot from the road and is located near Starbucks, Mellow Mushroom, and across from Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud Show. Parking is available on-site.
Why Choose MagiQuest
MagiQuest is the only standalone Legacy MagiQuest location in the country not inside a Great Wolf Lodge resort, which means the full-scale Kingdom Realm experience here is larger and more expansive than at any other MagiQuest in operation. Here is what sets it apart from the rest of Pigeon Forge’s entertainment options:
- Four attractions under one roof. The General Combo ticket covers the MagiQuest game, Odyssey Mirror Maze, Pirate Golf, and arcade credits, making this one of the better multi-activity values on the Parkway for families spending a few hours indoors.
- The only full Kingdom Realm. With 14 quests, 4 adventures, and exclusive challenges including the Ice Dragon Saga and Distract Rune, the Pigeon Forge castle offers content depth that players cannot find at any other MagiQuest location.
- Progress that travels with you. A purchased wand stores all quest data permanently. Players can return to the same castle on future visits, or take the wand to other MagiQuest locations, and pick up exactly where they left off.
- Fully accessible and all-weather. The entire attraction is indoors and wheelchair accessible throughout, making it a reliable option on rainy days and a genuine choice for families with members who have mobility needs.
Must Do
Every attraction in the castle is worth your time, but a few experiences stand out as the ones not to skip:
- The Dragon Realm adventure. After completing the required quests and earning enough runes, players can face Charlock the dragon in a high-stakes encounter that puts all accumulated wand power to the test. It is the narrative climax of the full MagiQuest experience.
- The Ice Dragon Saga. Exclusive to the Pigeon Forge location, this post-Master-Magi bonus saga sends players on three additional quests before confronting Winterra the Ice Dragon. You cannot play this anywhere else.
- The Odyssey Mirror Maze. More than 5,000 square feet of mirrored corridors, music, and light effects that disorient in the best possible way. Budget at least 30 minutes and expect to get turned around more than once.
- Special FX Pirate Golf. The black-light course runs through an animated Caribbean pirate village and across a full pirate ship set. It plays differently from a standard miniature golf course and is worth the time even if golf is not usually your thing.
What to Expect
MagiQuest is a high-energy attraction that rewards patience and curiosity. Here is what to know before you go:
- Time needed. Plan for 3 to 4 hours to move through the full combo at a comfortable pace. First-time players who want to complete multiple quests in MagiQuest alone often find 60 minutes goes quickly; adding time is possible on-site.
- Ages and reading ability. The game is open to all ages, but children under 6 or 7 may need a parent’s help deciphering the clues and navigating the quests. Older kids and adults tend to engage with it most independently.
- Crowds and timing. Peak hours run roughly 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and rainy days draw significantly larger crowds to the castle. Arriving when doors open or after 6:00 PM on summer evenings makes for a noticeably more spacious experience.
- Game admission closes early. MagiQuest game admission and the concessions area close one hour before the posted closing time. If you plan to play the game, account for this when timing your arrival.
- Wand options. The General Combo includes a loaner wand and 60 minutes of game time. Upgrading to a personal wand gives you 90 minutes and lets you keep and reuse the wand on future visits. Wand accessories including toppers and capes are sold separately.
- Accessibility. The building has an elevator to the second floor and is wheelchair accessible throughout. Parking near the entrance is available.
- Concessions on-site. A concessions area is available inside the castle for snacks and drinks during your visit.
