Why go: The Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center packs four distinct attractions under one roof, giving you a full half-day of indoor fun with celebrities, 5D adventure, a mirror maze, and a zombie walk-through all in one stop.

About Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center

Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center opened in Pigeon Forge in 2012 and quickly became one of the most visited indoor attractions in the Smokies. The complex spans over 22,000 square feet and brings together four experiences in one building: the Hollywood Wax Museum, Castle of Chaos, Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors, and Outbreak: Dread the Undead.

The wax museum itself is a two-story walk-through featuring dozens of lifelike figures of film, television, and music icons. Sets are built around themes rather than just pedestals, so you step into scenes: a cocktail party with A-list stars, a horror corridor with classic villains, a sports arena, and more. Props and costumes are available throughout, and there are no ropes or barriers keeping you from the figures.

Outside the building, the Great Ape of Pigeon Forge climbs a six-story replica of the Empire State Building, and a Hollywood Mount Rushmore features John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, and Charlie Chaplin. Both are popular photo stops before you even walk in the door.

The All Access Pass covers admission to all four attractions at a bundled rate, and it is the most popular way to experience the complex.

Getting to Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center

Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center sits at the corner of Parkway and Showplace Boulevard, near Traffic Light 1 heading into Pigeon Forge from Sevierville. The building is impossible to miss: look for the giant ape scaling the Empire State Building on the facade. On-site parking is free and plentiful, though it fills up quickly on summer weekends and holidays. Arriving before 10:00 AM or after 7:00 PM tends to mean shorter lines and easier parking.

Why Choose Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center

If you are looking for a single stop that covers a lot of ground indoors, the Entertainment Center delivers more variety than almost any other attraction in Pigeon Forge. Here is why visitors keep coming back.

  • Four attractions, one ticket. The All Access Pass bundles the wax museum, a 5D shooting adventure, a mirror maze, and a zombie walk-through at a meaningfully lower price than buying each separately. It is the best-value option in the complex.
  • Largest wax museum in the United States. The Pigeon Forge location is the biggest in the Hollywood Wax Museum chain, with more figures and more themed sets than any other location.
  • Open every day of the year. The complex operates 365 days a year, including holidays when other Pigeon Forge attractions are closed.
  • No barriers between you and the figures. Unlike some wax museums where figures are behind velvet ropes, every display here is open for photos. Props and costumes are available throughout to make the shots more interesting.
  • Free on-site parking. The Entertainment Center provides complimentary parking for guests, a real advantage during peak season along the Parkway.

Must Do

With four attractions on the property, knowing what to prioritize helps. These are the specific experiences worth planning your visit around.

  • Castle of Chaos. A seated 5D adventure where you put on 3D glasses, pick up a laser blaster, and compete with your group for the highest score across a series of immersive scenes. Two show options are available. This one tends to draw the longest lines, so hit it early.
  • The horror section of the Wax Museum. Tucked toward the end of the museum walk-through, this zone features horror film villains recreated with unsettling detail. It is one of the more memorable parts of the museum for older visitors, though it is easy to route around for younger children.
  • Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors. A castle-themed mirror maze with 288 possible turns and a storyline about rescuing Princess Hannah. Lighter in tone than the other add-on attractions and well suited for families with younger kids.
  • Outbreak: Dread the Undead. A zombie-themed walk-through attraction set in a biotech facility gone wrong. Designed with sounds, smells, and live-scare elements. The most intense experience at the complex and not recommended for children or anyone who startles easily.

Note Regarding Children: We DO NOT RECOMMEND Outbreak: Dread the Undead for children. In addition, children should avoid the horror section of the Wax Museum.

What to Expect

A few things to know before you go that will help the visit run smoothly.

  • Age and height notes. Children ages 3 and under are admitted free to all attractions. Castle of Chaos does not admit children under age 4. Outbreak contains intense horror themes involving a zombie storyline; it is not recommended for children. The horror zone of the wax museum can be bypassed entirely if needed.
  • No food or drink inside. Food and beverages are not permitted inside the museum or the other attractions. Plan to eat before or after your visit; there are numerous restaurants within a short drive along the Parkway.
  • Online tickets save money. Purchasing tickets in advance online can reduce the cost significantly compared to walk-up pricing. The All Access Pass is worth comparing to individual attraction prices before you buy.
  • Crowds and timing. Weekend evenings and summer afternoons are the busiest windows. Weekday mornings and late evenings tend to move faster. The complex is open until 11:00 PM nightly, so a post-dinner visit is a practical option for families staying nearby.
  • Plan for 2 to 3 hours. The wax museum alone runs about an hour for most visitors. Add the three other attractions and you are looking at a solid half-day. Families who linger over photos often stay longer.
