Pizza & Italian Restaurants
Pizza and Italian in Pigeon Forge run from a paper plate to a tablecloth, and the gap between those two ends is wider than sharing a page suggests. At one end sit the pizzerias, where the dough is made in house and the ovens run hot enough to finish a pie in minutes. Some lean East Coast, thin and folded and quick. Others go the wood fired route with a brick oven doing the work. At least one takes the pie somewhere else entirely, with a Brazilian kitchen and a wine list behind the counter.
At the other end is the sit-down Italian dinner: pasta cooked to order, family platters meant to be passed down a long table, a glass of red and no particular hurry. That is an evening rather than an errand.
Both kinds of night are on this page. If you are feeding a group after a long day on the Parkway, look first at whole pies and family platters, since those are the orders built for more than two people. If you want a real dinner out, the Italian rooms are where to look.
Why go: Wood fired pies, East Coast slices, and sit-down pasta, all within reach of the Parkway.
