Maggie Valley Club and Resort puts you on one of the most scenic championship golf courses in western North Carolina, at 3,000 feet of elevation between the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains, where the front nine eases you in and the Mountain Nine earns every shot you make.
About Maggie Valley Club and Resort
Established in 1962 and now managed by Troon, Maggie Valley Club and Resort is a semi-private club that opens its course to public play, giving everyday golfers access to one of the finest mountain layouts in western North Carolina. The course sits at roughly 3,000 feet of elevation on 30 acres of fairways lined by centennial trees, with bent grass greens and views that genuinely compete with the golf for your attention.
The 6,500-yard, par-72 course was designed by William Prevost and offers two very different experiences in a single round. The front Valley Nine plays in an open layout that rewards a confident swing and lets you find your rhythm before the course shifts gears. The back Mountain Nine tightens up considerably, climbs 800 feet in elevation, and delivers the kind of panoramic ridgeline views that make you stop mid-round and take it all in. Every level of golfer will find both challenge and reward here.
Beyond the course, the resort offers a full set of amenities including a heated pool, hot tub, tennis courts, a driving range, a short game practice area, walking trails, a fitness and yoga room, and a spa. Dining is available at the Pin High Bar and Grille inside the 18,000-square-foot clubhouse. Condo accommodations with golf course views are available for overnight guests, and Stay and Play packages can be tailored to include local adventures like whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and fly fishing.

Why Choose Maggie Valley Club and Resort
Few public-access golf courses in the Smokies region can match what Maggie Valley Club delivers on a single round. The combination of mountain elevation, centennial tree-lined fairways, bent grass greens, and a course that genuinely changes character between the front and back nine makes for a memorable day on the links regardless of your handicap.
The resort setting adds real value for visitors who want more than just golf. You can tee off in the morning, spend the afternoon at the pool or spa, have dinner at the clubhouse, and wake up the next day ready to do it again. Tee times are bookable online through Troon, which makes planning straightforward, and discount rates are often available for afternoon rounds.
