Maggie Valley Swap Meet / Southeastern Gas & Petroleum Expo / C-10s in Maggie Valley

Maggie Valley Swap Meet | Gas & Petroleum Expo | C10 Nationals

This event has finished for now. It runs again each year, and this page will be updated once the next dates are announced.

Three Shows on One Field

This weekend puts three Surfboard Promotion events on the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds at once. The swap meet is the backbone, with rows of outdoor vendor spaces selling parts, tools and the odd project you only find by walking every aisle.

The Southeastern Gas & Petroleum Expo runs alongside it. This is the old service station side of the hobby: gas and oil collectibles, vintage signs, state license tags, road maps and toys. The promoter bills it as the Southeast’s top gas and petroleum show, and it’s worth the walk even if you didn’t come for trucks.

C-10s in Maggie Valley

The third show is built around Chevrolet and GMC C-10 pickups. Judging runs through the weekend and wraps at 2:00 PM Saturday. The organizer lists a Top 50 plus specialty awards, including 15 patina awards for trucks still wearing their weathered original paint. Sponsors and industry guests also pick their own favorites.

Trophies, door prizes and giveaways are handed out at 4:00 PM Saturday, the same time the show closes. If you entered a truck, stay until the end.

Admission

  • Spectators: $10 per day
  • Kids 12 and under: free

Admission is charged per day, so coming Thursday and Friday means paying twice. The organizer doesn’t sell spectator tickets in advance, so plan to pay at the gate. Prices are from the organizer’s 2026 flyer and can change.

Showing a Truck or Selling

  • Vehicle registration: $40 (the $30 early rate ended May 1)
  • Vendor space: $50 for a 25 by 20 foot outdoor spot

Every vendor space is outside. Vendors set up Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and show entrants can reserve their spots that day as well. Registration is by mailed form or by calling Rodney Buckner directly. The swap meet advertises 24-hour security on the grounds, which matters if you’re leaving a trailer overnight.

Before You Go

The Festival Grounds sit on Soco Road in downtown Maggie Valley, reached from Exit 20 off I-40. Food and drink concessions open at 8:00 AM each show day, and event T-shirts go on sale at the same time.

Saturday is the shortest day, so if you want time to dig through the swap meet properly, Thursday or Friday gives you the full nine hours. Everything here is outdoors, and late September mornings in the valley can start cool, so bring a layer.
